Nature Walk on a Rainy Morning • May 2024
John takes Kobe and Shaye on a nature walk on a rainy and misty May morning. Up the east ravine watershed past the tall alders growing on the stream banks, to the top of the meadow along the forest edge. Walking beside the nature pond, dawn redwoods and quaking aspen planted many years ago. View of the campus from the meadow. John and Kobe return to the garden nursery and water sequoia, redwood and pine seedlings to be planted next winter season. Playing in the flowers.
Enjoy miles of beautiful nature trails on the property’s private 100-acre northwest rainforest, with miles of grassy roads weaving up and around the forest. Hike wide walking trails and roads from the farm meadows winding up hillsides, over canyon streams, through rich and diverse fir and cedar groves to the tranquil and sunny high pasture with a view of Mt. Rainier.
Wild Thyme Farm represents an evolving model of permaculture, visionary forestry and biological diversity.
